July’s this ‘n that

First week of July has been quiet – even with fireworks periodically going off.  Creek wasn’t here barking, thinking it was guns going off for hunting!  The great dane barked some in the day time when the fireworks were close but come evening time, she didn’t mind the sound.

We have ‘freedom’ soybeans this year.  Late beans were planted on the 4th so the farmer calls them ‘freedom’ beans.  This means all crops are planted – so now we just need some rain, not alot but enough to energize the beans.

The milo is taking off as well.  We just have some hay to cut and bale, a couple of llama babies due and some housing to put up for winter for summer projects – at least that’s the plan.

Back to a regular work week tomorrow – it was nice to have an extra day off during the week – come on Labor Day weekend! LOL!!
